At Giatec, we believe that today’s civil engineering researchers are shaping cities of the future.
That’s why we have launched an annual contest to recognize innovative research and thought leadership in the world of civil engineering and concrete infrastructure.
The Giatec Award for Best Paper is an essay-writing contest open to civil-engineering students (graduate and undergraduate), professors, and researchers across Canada and the United States. Candidates are invited to submit an original article or journal paper related to:
- Non-destructive testing (NDT) technologies for concrete
- Concrete durability and sustainability
- Wireless concrete testing
- Rebar corrosion of concrete
- Electrical resistivity of concrete
- Novel cement-based materials
Previously published articles are allowed as long as the publication date is 2017.
Everybody Wins
The author of the winning article will receive a cash reward of $1000. But there’s more…
Because the purpose of this award is to acknowledge and share innovative research and ideas with the global scientific community, the top 10 submissions will be featured on the Giatec Concrete Hub blog, which has a global audience of 150,000 industry experts.
We will also share the top 10 submissions on our Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn networks, where we engage with over 50,000 users each month.
This kind of exposure is invaluable for researchers who are trying to expose their work and ideas with the world.
