Why would anybody need to know the strength of their concrete at any given moment on the jobsite?
In the construction world, time is money. The faster a project can reach completion, the more profitable it is for the owner, contractor, and concrete producer. By knowing the strength of the concrete, contractors can move to the next step in the process, along the critical path, and hasten a project towards completion.
So, who would want to know real-time concrete strength?
Some obvious people include contractors doing post-tensioned concrete, high rise construction, fast-track paving, concrete pavement repairs, and large industrial work. But this list also includes concrete wall contractors, foundation contractors, and those that just don’t trust the testing lab on site to do a good job.
