After being up and running for the last 99 years, one of the most impressive engineering structure, will be getting an upgraded. The Panama Canal will be improved to cater for the increasing size of the world’s merchant shipping feet.
As of today the third set of expanded locks are in full operation and are ready to accommodate their first ships. The Panama Canal is on track to be completed in late June of this year.
